Primary Tuition

The main thing our primary teachers have in common is that they MAKE LEARNING FUN!! Just ask any of the families we have worked with or are still working with. In fact, once we start tutoring a primary-aged child we usually remain with them throughout their school career, including their move to secondary school!

Our ethos of nurturing the individual and developing a strong, trusting relationship ensures that every child we work with feels valued and self-confident. Progress is accelerated and many of our children have gone from below average to exceeding in a matter of months! Our year 6 SATs results continue to go from strength to strength. But most importantly, is that the children feel empowered in their ability to learn and reach their fullest potential. That is the most rewarding element of 1:1 tuition for our teachers, the parents/carers and of course the kids!

Alice has been wonderful with my son who has had real challenges with his learning. This is largely down to an inability to focus on tasks which has led to an overall lack of confidence. He was a very reluctant learner who now enjoys learning! His latest school report shows progress in all areas since working with Alice. In his own words ‘Alice makes learning fun!’. She is also a really nice person to have in the house and has become part of the furniture!

My son lacks confidence in Maths and was worried about the upcoming SATs. Jennie helped him to grasp topics which he hadn't understood in class, boosting his confidence and deepening his understanding. Her lessons were fun and she always remained patient and supportive. He went into the SATS feeling so much more able and ready. And all this was done online too as Jennie lives in Sheffield not locally!

Sinead was a brilliant tutor, my daughter absolutely loved her and actually looked forward to her sessions! She was extremely patient and took time to go through things and explain - and most critically, boosting her confidence. We have yet to receive the official SATS results - but following her sessions, there was a marked improvement in her mock scores from those she had at Xmas - and prior to us starting sessions with Sinead.
