With over 25 years of teaching experience, I am a highly experienced and dedicated Science tutor specialising in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Throughout my career, I have helped students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts while building the confidence, knowledge and exam skills they need to achieve their full potential.
I have extensive experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics in both Combined and Separate science in AQA and Edecel exam boards. I adapt my approach to suit different learning styles, abilities and individual needs. Whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, preparing for GCSE examinations, or looking to achieve the highest possible grades, I provide structured, supportive and engaging lessons tailored to their goals.
My teaching approach focuses on making Science accessible and enjoyable. I break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and use real-life examples to help students understand how scientific principles apply to the world around them. I also place a strong emphasis on developing problem-solving, analytical and examination techniques, helping students become more confident and independent learners.
Having taught students for more than two decades, I understand the challenges that young people can face when studying Science. I am patient, approachable and encouraging, creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
I am familiar with the demands of the KS3 and GCSE Science curriculum and can provide targeted support with individual topics, revision, homework, coursework and exam preparation. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of Science.
