Hi! My name is Emily and I am an MFL teacher, specialising in French and Spanish. I have taught in both single-sex and coeducational schools, and in both the private and state sector. My degree is in French and Politics, and I have since gone on to learn Spanish; this leads me to be interested in not just the language teaching but to try and immerse my pupils in the culture and rich history of both the French and Spanish speaking worlds. I also have a Masters in teaching which involved me really understanding and researching different teaching methods and techniques to help my pupils with learning languages.

During my career, I have coordinated Primary languages and so I am knowledgeable on the transition and also the introduction of teaching languages from Reception up to A Level. The variety of the audiences I have taught have given me a good understanding of how to meet the needs of different learners.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two boisterous little ones and finding new holiday destinations I hope to get to one day!
