My name is Carl and I have 25 years experience as a Design & Technology teacher. I have an honours degree in Construction (Sheffield Hallam) and a PGCE in Design & Technology (Brunel). I have an enhanced DBS and registered with the update service. During my teaching I held several other posts including Senco, Head of Year and Ks3 DT Lead.
For the last few years I have worked as a STEM tutor for a charity and set up my own business which includes private tutoring. I have supported students with a variety of GCSE Design & Technology and A Level Product Design syllabus. My lessons are online and I use Google Classroom to keep in contact with students and parents. I use past papers and revision materials to assist exam preparation.
Outside of work I run, mountain bike, play golf and follow motorsport. In 2020 I raced in the Caterham Academy Championship and still use my car for track days and to raise money for children’s charities with Sporting Bears.
